The fifth annual CBE Honors Celebration filled Perella Auditorium on Friday, April 7th, as members of the CBE community gathered to honor over 100 students for their achievements this year.
Students were honored with departmental awards for accounting, business information systems, economics, finance, management, marketing and supply chain management. Students were also recognized for college-wide leadership achievements including TRAC Fellowships, H.A.W.K.S. Peer Mentorships, and service on CBE Councils and Advisory Boards, as well as achievement of CBE certificates in Business Analytics and International Business. The CBE also proudly inducted a record number of juniors and seniors as members of the Lehigh Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society.
Four CBE faculty were recognized for their outstanding contributions to student success. Winners included:
• Steve Buell, professor in the Perella Department of Finance, who was honored with a CBE Advising/Mentorship Award
• Josh Ehrig, professor of practice in management, and Ken Sinclair, professor of accounting, who were honored with CBE Teaching Excellence Awards
• Mike Santoro, holder of the William R. Kenan, Jr. Professorship in Management, who was honored with the Robert and Christine Staub Award for overall faculty excellence
Awards were presented by many members of the CBE community, including Professor Bryan Cloyd (Accounting), Professor David Zhang (Management), Professor Mike Santoro (Management), Professor Jim Dearden (Economics), Professor Nandu Nayar (Finance), Professor Doug Mahony (Management), Professor Nevena Koukova (Marketing), Professor Josh Ehrig (Management), Jim Santanasto (Director of the Rauch Center for Business Communications), Twana Walker (Director of Advising), Emily Ford (Assistant Dean), Professor Matt Melone (Finance), Professor Ken Sinclair (Accounting), Paul Brockman (Senior Associate Dean), Professor Charlie Stevens (Management), and Katrina Zalatan (Associate Dean). Professors Keith Botner, Michael Catalano, Marina Puzakova, and Steve Savino also joined in celebrating their marketing major award winners. Associate dean Katrina Zalatan served as master of ceremonies.
After the awards ceremony, the CBE community gathered in the RBC atrium to celebrate all award winners with good conversation and refreshments.
