Launch into Business: CBE’s Inaugural PreLUsion Program

You are here

The College of Business and Economics (CBE) is thrilled to launch our inaugural preLUsion program this August for incoming first-year CBE students! PreLUsion is a three-day pre-orientation experience offered in August for first-year students to explore a topic of their choice and engage with students, faculty, and staff who share a similar interest. With a capacity for 15 students, this unique immersion experience will give first-year students the opportunity to kick off their career path in business before the semester even begins. Led by Assistant Dean Emily Ford, Associate Director Jamie Pugh, and two student coordinators, “Launch into Business” will help incoming students get acquainted with the Rauch Business Center and the CBE, including our incredible network of students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Students will get to know their advisors and our curriculum, explore the many resources available to business students, and develop relationships with future classmates. Highlights include the opportunity to meet CBE faculty and learn from experienced professionals through on-site visits to Crayola and Urban Outfitters.

Ford and Pugh express their excitement with this new preLUsion program: “We are excited to start a CBE preLUsion program and give incoming first-year students an introduction to the CBE community. We think the small-group setting will grant students the opportunity to build a strong foundation in business. We are especially elated that Crayola and Urban Outfitters have been so gracious in welcoming Lehigh business students!”

Any rising CBE sophomores, juniors, or seniors interested in becoming student coordinators for Launch into Business, please contact Emily Ford or Jamie Pugh. For more information about Launch into Business and other preLUsion programs, visit the Office of the First-Year Experience’s website.
